THROUGH GOD'S EYES

The Lord of Heaven died for me
And all the people that I see;
Men and women, boys and girls...
Balding men and those with curls...
Handsome or homely, short or tall...
Jesus died to save them all.
And He has put me in this place
To point them to His saving grace.
So when I leave my home each day
And see these folks along the way,
May I see them through His eyes
And lift my prayers up to the skies,
That somehow e'er this day is done
They'll come to know God's Holy Son.
May carnal thoughts not cross my mind:
Lord , make me humble, pure and kind.
Some day I'll stand before God's throne,
With all my thoughts and wishes known;
Oh, may I then not blush with shame
At how I've borne His Holy Name.
Yes, the Lord of Heaven died for me
And all the people that I see;
My prayer each day as I arise:
"Lord, may I see them through Your eyes!"
